Sierra Leone

I went on a mission to Sierra Leone as one of the interpreters of the European Parliament’s Development Committee in 2015, just after the end of the Ebola outbreak. The aim of the mission was to gather information on the situation in the country.

I accompanied Committee representatives to meetings with representatives of the authorities responsible for health, international relations and the internal situation, as well as with representatives of NGOs and charities that are active in the areas of education, health, security and humanitarian aid. We also visited a field hospital organised by Médecins Sans Frontières to treat patients infected with the Ebola virus.
